02 May May 2018 – Replenish! Melbourne @ Port Melbourne Events Centre
On May 23-24 2018, Datapel hosted its Replenish! Conference at the Port Melbourne Events Centre in Melbourne. We discussed the key supply chain management challenges for 2018, increasing global competition and how innovation in technology is constantly changing the industry.
Replenish! Melbourne was one of the only local events educating SMEs about new and innovative supply chain management solutions.
The event was split across two days and introduced key compliance updates to our platform, including single touch payroll (STP). The Australian Government introduced STP on 1 July 2018, which now requires employers with 20 or more employees to report additional information regarding salaries, wages, PAYG and superannuation.
The conference also showcased live demonstrations of voice-enabled barcoding; another great example of how new technology is improving efficiency in Australian warehouses.
The event featured a variety of in-depth presentations, including:
Keynote Presentation: “Industry and Datapel Core WMS Roadmap 2018” by Adam Wesley, Founder and Managing Director of Datapel Systems
At Datapel, we are aware that businesses are always encountering new supply chain issues. Adam outlined how Datapel’s Product Development RoadMap can help businesses stay ahead and develop effective inventory management processes that ensure their suppliers and customers are always satisfied. He also discussed the need for traditional wholesalers to embrace new technologies and workplace management systems (WMS) in order to continue meeting customer expectations.
Many businesses have successfully introduced Datapel’s advanced inventory management software to begin managing their stocktake and distribution. Don Bickett – National Sales Manager, presented a few video briefings from clients who shared their stories of how they transformed their supply chain after working with Datapel.
The emergence of wireless technologies has significantly transformed how warehouses are run and operated. These technologies can be applied to a wide array of supply chain functions. Our Replenish! Melbourne event featured a live demo where attendees could test our new voice interactive order picking system.
